Hurricane Katrina Aftermath

We drove through our old neighborhood in Slidell in mid-October, 6 weeks after Katrina. We were amazed at the number of blue tarps covering holes in roofs--both on houses and businesses--as well as the amount of debris that still lines the streets. The trash haulers can't seem to make a dent in all the debris! That will take a LONG time to finish!Click a thumbnail to see the larger photo:
