From Steve Moody, pastor, Jackson/Memphis, TN; Sedgwick/Little Rock, AR:

Gene Bremer, a long-time faithful deacon in the Jackson, Tennessee, congregation, died this past Sabbath morning at 7:32 a.m.  He had been battling bone cancer.  Gratefully he was not suffering.  His wife, Diane, and all the family deeply appreciate all the outpouring of love and support that they have received through the time of Gene’s illness.  They know he is at peace and will see him in the resurrection.

From Steve Moody, pastor, Jackson/Memphis, TN; Sedgwick/Little Rock, AR:

Gene Bremer, our deacon in the Jackson, Tennessee, congregation, has been fighting bone cancer.  He has fractured several vertebrae due to the weakening of his bones.  He has lost considerable weight (50 pounds).  He is also in considerable pain.  Though his cancer numbers have been lowering, he had a setback this past week and had to return to the hospital in great pain.  He is home now and under in-home nursing care.  Please keep Gene and his wife Diane in your prayers.

From Steve Moody, pastor, Jackson/Memphis, TN; Sedgwick/Little Rock, AR:

Last Friday Gene Bremer was feeling fine; he was going to speak on the Sabbath in Jackson. However, while he was in bed he sneezed three times and in the third sneeze two vertebrae fractured in his back.  His bones are weak due to the bone cancer.  He has been in severe pain since.  He is now (Wednesday, April 16) in the Jackson General Hospital room 686.  Surgery is scheduled to fuse those vertebrae.  The bone cancer has been responding to treatment.  Treatment to strengthen his bones is also ongoing but the severe pain has him in a great deal of stress.  Please continue to pray for him and his wife, Diane.

From Steve Moody, pastor, Jackson/Memphis, TN; Sedgwick/Little Rock, AR:

After receiving word of Gene Bremer’s condition and sending the prayer request, his wife, Diane, called and said that the cancer was not lung cancer but one in the blood.  They will be running tests to see if it has affected his bones.  Obviously, the diagnosis is not totally clear yet other than he has some form of cancer.

Based on that, here is an updated prayer request:

Gene Bremer, a deacon in the Jackson, Tennessee, congregation, has just been diagnosed with some type of cancer in his blood.  More testing will be done to determine the extent of the cancer’s spread, including tests to see if it has affected his bones.  Gene has not yet determined the course of action he will take.  Cancer was unexpected.  He and his wife, Diane, would deeply appreciate your prayers for God’s healing.

From Steve Moody, pastor, Jackson/Memphis, TN; Sedgwick/Little Rock, AR:

Gene Bremer, deacon in Jackson, Tennessee, congregation, had a major heart attack on Sunday.  The paramedics were able to get him to the emergency room in time to save his life.  The doctors did emergency surgery and inserted stints to open the vessels that were 100% blocked.  Gene is still in ICU.  However, he is doing well and may get to do to a regular room tomorrow.  His wife and family would appreciate your prayers.
