From Jack Hendren, pastor, Corpus Christi/Harlingen/Victoria, TX:
The
Guerra family appreciates the prayers and the encouragement so many have
extended to them since James Ryan was born. December 20th was James’
first birthday and he is taking his first steps. He enjoys playing with his
older brother Marcus. James can be off the ventilator now except when he sleeps
or has a cold. Thank you for keeping the family in your prayers.

The Guerra
family thanks everyone for their prayers and the many encouraging cards and
letters. March 5th was a milestone for James. Although he must
still be on a ventilator, he was able to go home from the hospital.
Doctors familiar with James’ condition indicate the first several years are the
most difficult. As he gets a little older, it is hoped that he will only
need breathing assistance when he sleeps. The family requests your continued
prayers as they make this transition going forward.
