From Ken Graham, pastor, Bloomington-Normal/Canton/Springfield, IL:

John Berberich has had real difficulties with circulation in his legs and had his right leg amputated above the knee several months ago.  He's been unable to attend services for some time. But before he was able to go through all the therapy for using his prosthesis, his left leg began to become extremely painful as well, due to the lack of circulation.   The surgeons removed his left leg last Tuesday, also above the knee.  He is a little discouraged, as is often the case in multiple amputations.  At his age he doesn't have much upper body strength and is desperately going to need it or he will become further discouraged over the next few weeks in therapy.  Please pray for him to have the strength he needs and the courage and strength to go through the long and difficult therapy required for the use of the first prosthesis and eventually the second.
