From Mark Welch, pastor of Tulsa/Oklahoma City/Lawton:
Bill Cagle, an elder in Tulsa, has been slowly improving since his
fall in the hospital. He had entered the
hospital due to a very rapid heart rate.
After taking medication his heart rate was down to normal, but before he
was released he passed out and hit the side of his head in the hospital
room. One of the doctors first claimed
that he had an aneurysm that caused the fall, but now they are saying that
there was no aneurysm. Now it is
believed that the fall caused a severe concussion and a blood clot to form. Bill was in the ICU so he could be closely
monitored the last two days. Catscans were also taken each day and he seems to be doing
pretty well. He is no longer in
intensive care, but it is uncertain how much longer he will be in the
hospital. He is still extremely tired
and it is expected that a full recovery will take a month or more. God's blessing and intervention has been
evident. Please continue to remember
Bill and his family in your prayers.

From Mark Welch, pastor of Tulsa/Oklahoma City/Lawton:
Bill Cagle, elder from Tulsa, entered the hospital Friday evening
due to a very rapid heart rate that he had been experiencing for a few
days. After taking some medication,
Bill's heart rate lowered to normal. On
the Sabbath he fell in the hospital room and hit the back of his head. Saturday evening his doctor told him that if
his heart rate remained stable he would likely be released from the hospital on
Sunday. But on Sunday Bill was not
feeling very well and an MRI was ordered.
Monday morning, after looking at the results of the MRI doctors first
felt that the fall had evidently caused a severe concussion and perhaps a blood
clot near the brain. But later, when a
neurosurgeon looked at the MRI, it was determined that Bill had most likely had
a brain aneurysm that caused the fall and the concussion. The aneurism hadn't burst or else he would
have likely died, but there was some bleeding.
It is now Monday afternoon and Bill is being moved to Hillcrest Hospital
in Tulsa where
it will be determined if surgery is necessary to remove the aneurysm. Please pray fervently for God's speedy
intervention and healing for Bill and do remember his family in your prayers.
