From Stan Botha, elder,
Doctors have discovered that the paralysis
in Patricke Bartnicke’s
legs is unrelated to the Huntington’s disease. They discovered a malignant tumour on his spine which is causing the paralysis and
other problems. Initially the doctors felt they could correct this by removing
the growth but are having second thoughts. He will, however, be operated on
this coming Thursday (May 26).

From Stan Botha, elder,
Please continue to pray that God in His
mercy will intervene for Patrick and the Bartnicke
family. His condition continues to deteriorate and his wife is finding it more
and more difficult to cope with both his condition and that of their mentally
handicapped son, Ashley.

From Stan Botha, elder,
Please pray that God in His mercy will heal
Patrick Bartnicke. He is suffering from Huntington's Chorea, an inherited neurodegenerative disorder caused by a
faulty gene. The faulty gene causes damage to the nerve cells of the brain
leading to deterioration of the physical, emotional and mental processes.
Patrick is now 52 years old and can no longer hold down a job. He is
experiencing difficulty with both his speech and movements. He and his wife have 3 children who all stand
a 50% chance of inheriting the faulty gene for which there is no human cure.
