From David Treybig, pastor,
Bob Bunting went into the Veteran's Hospital
this week with a blood infection. Bob responded to the antibiotics he was given
and has made some improvement, however the doctors say they are unable to
completely eliminate the infection. Bob has now been sent back to the nursing
home. Based upon Bob's instructions that he does not want heroic measures taken
to preserve his life, the doctors have counseled Bob and his wife not to bring
Bob back to the hospital when the infection once again becomes critical.
Hospice workers are scheduled to begin seeing Bob at his nursing home.
The Buntings know that God has already
extended Bob's life and are willing to accept whatever timetable God has for
him. Thanks for your continued prayers for Bob and his wife, Retha, during this difficult time.

From David Treybig, pastor,
Robert Bunting continues to amaze his
doctors who believed he should be deceased by now because of his Parkinson's Disease. At his nursing home, most days he gets around in
his wheel chair, feeds himself in the dining room and talks with visitors who
come to see him. Bob and his wife, Retha, remain
appreciative of everyone's prayers.

From David Treybig, pastor,
Robert Bunting, suffering from the last
stages of Parkinson's disease, was sent approximately five weeks ago by doctors
to hospice care to die. As expected
Robert became weaker each day and soon was unable to speak or feed himself. But
after two weeks of hovering at death's door, it became apparent that God had
other plans for Bob as he suddenly regained strength and began talking once
again. After further tests, Bob's
doctors concluded that he had too much life left to be in hospice care. So they sent him back to the nursing home he
had been in prior to coming the Veterans' Hospital. Bob has now been back in
his nursing home for ten days where he continues to talk and now feeds himself.
Bob and his wife, Retha, want to thank all the
brethren for their prayers and cards that have arrived from all over the
world. Bob and Retha
have read each card or note and found tremendous encouragement from the many
individuals and congregations who have written.
Thanks to everyone who wrote or prayed for Bob and most of all, to our
great healing God!
