From Frank McCrady, pastor, Dayton/Cincinnati North, OH:

Jeannie Dawson was overwhelmed with the kindness and compassion through all the prayers, calls and cards received; not only from our local  congregations, but around the whole United States and beyond.  It has been a great inspiration to her and their family to see so many friends that they have known through their years in God’s church.  She and her family thanks everyone so very much for caring.

From Ken DeVilbiss, elder, Dayton, OH:

Jean Dawson, a deacon in the Dayton, Ohio, congregation, died early Friday morning, May 9th. Jean’s health continued to deteriorate over the last several weeks as the result of cancer in his lungs and throat. God was merciful in that Jean didn’t have a lot of pain. He was a true servant of God as he was always concerned and asking about others and he will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral arrangements are pending. Please pray for God’s comfort for his wife, Jeanie, and the family.

From Frank McCrady, pastor, Dayton, OH:

“On my last visit with the Doctor about my kidney transplant, he told me the kidney was functioning like a champ.  He reduced some of my medicines and cut me back to once a week for blood testing.  I still must take my vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight, and pulse) three times a day.  They feel that these signs will signal if there is a problem with rejection of the kidney.  Next month I will stop taking the vitals.  I want to thank everyone for their cards and prayers.  This truly has been a miracle.”  Jean Dawson
