From Bill Jacobs in Albuquerque, NM:
Sally Brian died unexpectedly Friday night, May 24, about midnight. Her daughter, also a member, was with her. She was experiencing severe pain under her right arm Friday, and was taken to the hospital. They found her lungs were full of fluid and they were unable to drain them because of so much scar tissue from the emphysema. Sally lapsed into a coma from lack of oxygen. She had been terrified of upcoming surgery to remove her right eye and of medical procedures that were to follow for another cancer. We believe God mercifully saw fit to remove her from those trials. Thank you for your prayers and cards. Please remember her daughter, Mona, in your prayers.

From Bill Jacobs in Albuquerque, NM:
Sally Brian of the Durango, CO congregation urgently requests prayers. A few months ago she was diagnosed with melanoma in her right eye. This is her good eye. She can only see shadows with her left eye. It has now been determined that the cancer has grown and that the eye should be removed. The date of surgery should be set soon. They have also discovered what they believe is a vaginal cancer. Treatment for that is yet to be determined. Because Sally has emphysema, all surgeries will have to be performed under local anesthesia. This is very disconcerting. Please pray for God's immediate intervention and healing, for Sally's peace of mind, and that if it is not His will to heal at this time that He will guide the hands and minds of the doctors. Sally could really use a lot of support and encouragement.
