On behalf of myself and my family, I want to thank everyone for the many phone calls and cards sent by individuals and congregations during my wife's illness and after she died. The outpouring of love and concern was overwhelming and very supportive during a difficult time. Such an attitude was constantly taught and practiced by Jesus during His physical lifetime, and it is extremely gratifying to experience this same spirit in His people today, which is an important sign of their identity.

Mrs. Garland Berg, wife of Wilbur Berg, died at 9:30 AM on Thursday, April 18. She had been fighting lymphoma cancer for the past several years, which became more aggressive during the last two months. She died peacefully and without pain in her home, with her husband by her side.

She was greatly encouraged by the many cards she received from all over the United States, and many other countries as well. These were sincerely appreciated as they expressed the love and concern of so many people, some of whom she had known for years. The family thanks everyone for these heartfelt messages of hope and reassurance.

Graveside service will be held at the Dubois, Wyoming cemetery on Tuesday, April 23 at 2 PM. Any cards may be sent to:
