From Larry DeLong, elder, Lethbridge, Alberta:

Grace Anderson's cancerous tumor has grown to 4 1/2 inches on one lung. She is now living in the hospice and her life is in grave danger. The doctors at this point in time can only give her oxygen, try to keep her comfortable and control the pain.

She has received dozens and dozens of cards and letters. She has three rows of them hanging on strings across her room where she can see them. The nurses are all amazed at the number of them and where they have all come from. Those of you that take the time to send cards many times have no idea how much comfort you send with that card.

Thank you again for the cards and letters and especially the prayers.

From Larry DeLong, elder, Lethbridge, Alberta:

This past week Grace Anderson had a blood vessel rupture in one lung. She ended up in hospital as a result. The lung is not functioning at all and she is on oxygen. This condition appeared to be improving somewhat when she fell in her hospital room badly hurting her back. At this time she is on morphine to control the pain.

She is struggling from the low oxygen levels, back pain, drug side affects and loss of appetite.

Please pray for God's intervention.

From Larry DeLong:

Some time has passed since the last update on Grace Anderson and many have been asking.

Grace has just received results from recent Xrays. The tests show that her cancer has not grown at all. She is thankful for all of the prayers.

Grace is a diabetic and at the present time battling with very high sugar levels, this is her main concern at the moment. She is a bit weak but in good spirits.

Thank you again for all of the cards, letters and prayers.

From Larry DeLong:

Greetings to a caring church.

Grace Anderson wishes to thank everyone for the cards and letters she has received since her illness. She has received cards from as far away as Tasmania (about as far from Alberta as you can get),and the count is approaching 50. Grace and her husband Gerry sit and read each one. The letters and cards have given her great strength, realizing that there are so many around the world praying for her.

Also I have had messages asking for her address again, it is as follows.

Update on her condition. It appears that Grace has overcome the infections from the operation on her kidneys but the doctors are still trying to adjust blood thinners to combat blood clots in her lungs. Unfortunately doctors have discovered cancer in a lung. There is little they can do for her in this regard. She is trusting in God to heal her physically and give her emotional strength. Please continue to remember her in your prayers.

From Larry DeLong:

Grace was released from hospital last week after her operation to remove kidney stones (8 stones in one kidney and 4 in the other). However early this morning (Monday June 14) she was readmitted because of further infection in her kidneys. Also doctors are still trying to regulate blood thinners to combat a blood clot on her lung. She is very weak and emotionally wore out. She is very thankful for all of the cards that she has received from as far away as Phoenix. Thank you for your concern from all of us in Lethbridge.
