Dear Brethren,

I would like to reassure each one of you that none of our Italian brethren were affected by the recent eruptions of Mount Etna (Sicily) and the earthquake in southern region of Puglia.

The earthquake that toppled a school in San Giuliano di Puglia, a tiny Italian mountain village, killed nearly the entire first grade class, (innocent children, who were supposed to be at home but were at school, on that specific day, for being thought how to celebrate Halloween, another brand "new feast" that is become popular in Italy also). We need to pray for the parents and families who lost their innocent children, as well as praying for those whose faith in God may be shaken by not understanding as yet the Truth about God's Plan and the promised resurrection, to rescue this world from all forms of unjustice one for all, in duetime.

On Thursday, last week, a 3.7 magnitude quake hit Mount Etna, the volcano in eastern Sicily which began erupting last Sunday. Another quake, of the same magnitude, rattled western Sicily, off the coast of Palermo, Friday morning. The National Institute of

Geophysics and Vulcanology in Rome said the volcano area and mainland quakes, separated by 275 miles, were not connected. The lava eruption caused the loss of a few houses, but no victims in Sicily.

Premier Silvio Berlusconi said all measures would be taken to help residents in the tiny villages in Puglia and near Mount Etna.

Thank you for keeping us in your prayers, as we keep you in ours, daily.

Kind regards in Christian love,

Carmelo Anastasi
